Cadiz'de La Caleta

Endülüs-Cadiz'de La Caleta kıyısı (2016). Hemen yanıbaşında Trocadero adası var. O adada Fransızlar İspanyolları yenince (1823) Trocadero ünlenir, Paris'teki ünlü meydana bu ad verilir. 1878'de İskoçya-Glasgow'da yapılan bir buharlı geminin adı da Trocadero olur. Gemi bir kaç kez el değiştirir, sonunda Osmanlı'da kalır. Belki de, Bandırma limanı buharlı gemilerin uğrak yeri olduğundan adı Panderma-Bandırma'ya değiştirilir. Posta hizmetlerinde kullanılır. Osmanlının yer aldığı İttifak Devletleri, I. Dünya Savaşı'nda yenilir. Altı ay sonra orduyu dağıtma görevi ile General Mustafa Kemal 47 asker ile birlikte, İngilizlerin onayı ile İstanbul'dan Samsun'a bu gemi ile geçer. O yolculuk, M. Kemal'in liderliğindeki halk hareketinin Osmanlı yönetiminden bağımsız olarak yeni Türk Cumhuriyeti'ne ulaştığı yolun başlangıcı olur.

The coast of La Caleta in Andalusia-Cadiz (2016). There's island of Trocadero in the near back. When the French defeated the Spaniards (1823) on that island, it became famous. Trocadero was named after a well-known square in Paris. In 1878, a steamer built in Scotland-Glasgow was also named as Trocadero. The ship has changed hands several times, eventually remained in the Ottoman Empire. Perhaps the port of Bandırma was frequented by steamboats and its name was changed to Panderma-Bandırma, and used in postal services. The Central powers and Ottomans were defeated in World War I. Six months later, with the task of disposition the army, General Mustafa Kemal, along with 47 soldiers, passed by that steamboat from Istanbul to Samsun with the approval of the British. That journey, under the leadership of M. Kemal, would be the beginning of the path to the new Turkish Republic, by a people movement independent of the Ottoman administration.
