Uruguay-Punta Del Este yakınlarında Punta José Ignacio deniz feneri (1877). Roma'dan getirilen betondan daha sert volkanik bir karışım ile yapıldığından hala iyi durumda. Resiflerle çevrili kayalık buruna inşa edildiğinde çevrede yerleşim yoktu. Ama '..büyük kayalara ve denizin cesaretine bakınca çevrede batık gemilerin olduğuna emin olabiliriz.'
Punta José Ignacio lighthouse (1877) near Punta Del Este in Uruguay. It is still in good condition because it is made with volcanic mixture a harder than the concrete brought from Rome. There was no settlements in the surrounding area when it was built at the rocky cape surounded with the reef. But '..when you look at the big rocks and the courage of the sea, we can be sure that there are shipwrecks in the vicinity.'
